2. Data Collected and Purposes

Estimate Form

When you submit an estimate request, we collect: first name, last name, email address, phone number, postal code, and project details (type, dimensions, materials, budget, timeline). This data is used solely to contact you and prepare your estimate. It is sent by email to our team and is not shared with third parties.

Analytics (Plausible Analytics)

We use Plausible Analytics, hosted on our own server at pl.terrassemtl.ca. Plausible sets no cookies and collects no personally identifiable information. It measures only aggregated statistics: number of visits, pages viewed, approximate country of origin, device type, and traffic source. This data stays on our servers and is never shared with third parties.

Session Recording and Events (OpenPanel)

We use OpenPanel, hosted on our own server at op.terrassemtl.ca, to record user interactions (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling) and track conversion events (form start and submission). IP addresses are anonymized and form field values are never recorded. This data stays on our servers and is never shared with third parties.

No analytics or advertising cookies are used on this site.

4. Data Retention

Estimate data received by email is retained for the duration necessary to process your request and at minimum for the legal document retention period (7 years in Quebec). Session recordings are retained for 30 days and then automatically deleted.

5. Your Rights (Law 25)

Under Quebec Law 25, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Withdraw your consent to session recording
  • File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI)
